Beatles soar on Spotify in first 100 days of streaming

Need proof that the Beatles have stood the test of time? Just check data from Spotify.

The iconic British band just passed 100 days on the streaming service and have outperformed modern pop stars like Sia, Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande, reports CNET. Just to remind you -- none of these artists were born by 1970, the year the Beatles disbanded.

The Beatles netted 6.5 million listeners each month on the streaming service, and a whopping 67 percent of listeners were under the age of 35.

The band held out on allowing listeners to stream their music until Christmas Eve of last year; they released their music on all major streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and Pandora.

The most streamed Beatles song on Spotify is "Here Comes the Sun," followed by "Come Together," "Let it Be" and "Yesterday."

Residents of Mexico City stream the Beatles the most, followed by Londoners and then residents of Santiago, Chile and Los Angeles.
