Police: Nude woman led deputies on high-speed chase

SANTA FE, N.M. -- A northern New Mexico woman is facing charges after deputies say she led authorities on a high-speed chase while nude.

CBS affiliate KRQE reports Barbara Arellano was arrested late Saturday following reports a driver was throwing items out of a vehicle on Interstate 25.

According to Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, the 51-year-old Arellano did not pull over when deputies tried to pull her over then led them on a chase that hit 100 mph.

Deputies say Arellano crashed her Toyota Rav-4 into a pickup and exited her vehicle naked.

The incident was all captured on camera.

Authorities say she tried to flee but was caught by deputies.

KRQE reported that a bystander offered up a blue tarp to cover Arellano. She was then put into the back of a patrol car, where she continued yelling "Jehovah!"
