Missing 2-year-old Mich. girl found safe

TAWAS CITY, Mich. - A 2-year-old Michigan girl who was reported missing by her family has been found safe, reports CBS affiliate WNEM.

According to the station, Brooklyn Lilly was found Thursday by a K-9 officer in a wooded area. Michigan State Police Lt. Brian Cole says the toddler has some superficial cuts but appears to be doing fine.

The search for Brooklyn started Wednesday after her family reported her missing from her Tawas City home at around 2:20 p.m. that day. Tawas City is about 130 miles north of Detroit.

According to the station, the child was reported to have wandered off into the woods while being watched by an elderly person.
