Ashley Graham lands Vogue UK cover

Plus-size model Ashley Graham has become a ubiquitous presence lately in music videos and magazines -- she even has a Barbie doll now.

Graham just marked another milestone by appearing on the January 2017 cover for Vogue UK. She is the first plus-size model to pose for the fashion magazine’s cover.

She admitted she’s not completely comfortable with the label “plus-size.”

She told the magazine, “When we’re supposed to be talking about diversity for women, it feels so divisive and purpose-defeating, giving us yet another label,” but she did say she feels that her size and body-positive modeling have inspired women to be comfortable with their own bodies.

Graham revealed that once upon a time, she wished she were thinner.

“Do I sometimes wish I were thinner? God, in the old days, absolutely I did, but now I feel that to lose weight would be disloyal to myself,” she explained. “A lot of who I am is connected to my size, and I am so happy with who I am.”
