Arrest made in stabbing death of Ohio teen found at Pa. dump

PITTSBURGH - Police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of an Ohio girl found at a dump in Pennsylvania, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

Ricki Williams IV, 18, has been arrested for allegedly murdering Mahoning County resident Gina Burger, 16, according to the station.

"He held her against her will at the Compass West apartments [in Austintown, Ohio]," Police Chief Robert Gavalier told the station. "She was murdered at the Compass West apartments, I can tell you that, with a knife. We do not have the knife at this time."

Burger was reported missing last week by her mother in Austintown, roughly 45 miles from where the teen's body was found June 25 at a dump in Mercer County, Pa. The station reports workers at the Tri-County Industries, Inc. site made the discovery. There was no identification with the body.

Police said Williams and Burger knew each other. The suspect was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges of aggravated murder and kidnapping.

The Mercer County Coroner's Office reports the victim sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest.

The girl's mother, Jacqueline Bacher, had previously told CBS Pittsburgh that "someone took her, for whatever reason; I don't know."

Bacher said her daughter left her Austintown apartment June 23 in the evening. She said Burger went to borrow tea bags from a neighbor and never returned.

"She wasn't just a piece of trash to be disregarded," Bacher told the station. "Then, to find her in a landfill; I mean, that's someone who has no regard for life."
