Co-worker arrested in Pa. social worker's shooting death

PHILADELPHIA -- Police have arrested a co-worker in the murder of a social worker who was fatally shot this month while waiting for a bus near Temple University's North Philadelphia campus.

According to CBS Philly, surveillance video released by police captured the shooting of Kim Jones, 56, on Jan. 13. The suspected gunman, 36-year-old Randolph Sanders, has been arraigned and charged with murder and related weapons offenses, police say.

Jones was reportedly Sanders' supervisor at Turning Points for Children, a local child advocacy organization.

The surveillance video, released last month, showed a gunman approaching the victim and shooting her in the back of the head. Capt. James Clark described the shooting as a "hit," telling reporters that Jones still had her cellphone, purse and jewelry -- so robbery was ruled out as a possible motive.

"Someone knew her routine, knew she waited for the bus and waited for her," Clark said last month, according to the Associated Press. "For whatever reason, she was targeted."

Sanders is being held without bail and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18, according to the station.
