Arrest in murder of Agatha Hall, Temple University student

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say the shooting death of a Temple University student last month has been ruled a homicide and a suspect is facing charges in the case.

Police say 21-year-old Agatha Hall was found dead in her north Philadelphia apartment early on Aug. 31 with a handgun nearby.

Investigators said she died of a gunshot wound to the head, but tests concluded that "it was impossible for the victim's gunshot wound to be self-inflicted."

Police said 29-year-old Brandon Meade of Upper Darby was arrested Tuesday and is facing charges in the homicide.

The Philadelphia Daily News reported that the defendant is the boyfriend of the victim, who was a Temple senior studying finance and international business.

A message left for Meade's attorney at his residence wasn't immediately returned Wednesday.
