Arrest in actor's killing at Los Angeles home of Canadian talk show host

HOLLYWOOD HILLS, Calif. — A homeless man has been arrested in connection with the murder of aactor in the California home of a Canadian talk show host, reports CBS Los Angeles.

The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested out-of-state Monday and is expected to be extradited to California soon, according to police.

Richard Hong, 41, who is also Canadian, was found bludgeoned to death on Sept. 23, inside the home of TV talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos, according to police.

Palka says the victim was found Sept. 23 bludgeoned to death at the home not far from the Hollywood Bowl. 

Stroumboulopoulos, who has interviewed some of the biggest celebrities in the world, was not home at the time. He called the victim a dear friend. 

Stroumboulopoulos had a show on Canadian broadcaster CBC from 2005 to 2014.
