Apple admits bug in iPhone 6S battery meter

For those of you with an iPhone 6S or an iPhone 6S Plus, has your phone shut down despite displaying a full battery? Well that means your phone is showing signs of a bug that doesn't update the phone's battery meter.

"Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating the cause and a solution," according to a message posted on the company's website.

The bug shows up when you change the time on your phone manually or move to a different time zone.

Until the bug is corrected through future software updates, Apple took to its website to offer step-by-step instructions for how to adjust your phone to accurately gauge if your battery is running out. How do you make this quick fix? First, restart your phone, then go to Settings, choose General, head to Date & Time, and make sure "Set Automatically" is turned on.

Apple users can expect more updates to their phones soon, when the new iOS 9.3 arrives. Currently, the latest version of Apple's operating system is only available to developers.
