Amy Duggar explains why she wasn’t at Jinger’s wedding

Jinger Duggar tied the knot with Jeremy Vuolo in a large ceremony in Arkansas over the weekend and nearly all of her family and friends were in attendance. However, one family member noticeably absent was Jinger’s cousin, Amy (Duggar) King.

Amy spoke with ET about having to miss out on Jinger’s special day, and dispelled any rumors that she was on the outs with her family, or hadn’t been invited in the first place.

“I was absolutely invited. I love my family! There is no riff between me and my cousins at all. It was just wrong timing,” she explained. “We already had something scheduled.”

While Jinger and her husband-to-be were walking down the aisle, Amy, 30, was snapping Instagram pics in Las Vegas with her husband, Dillon King.

According to Amy, the couple were in Sin City to attend the 2017 SEMA Show, a specialty car and auto parts trade show attended by nearly 60,000 professionals and buyers.

“It was Dillon’s dream to be a part of it and his truck was being sponsored!” Amy added. “This was planned a year in advance, so there was no way I could let my husband go without me.”

“I let my family know I loved them and that I couldn’t make it,” Amy said. “I hated to miss it but I know there will be many more and that I will get to celebrate with her when we get back!”

Love you Jinger! My heart is back home but my feet are in Vegas! Miss you!

Amy, who did attend the weddings of Duggar cousins Josh, Jessa and Jill, still has potentially 15 future opportunities to celebrate a wedding with the mega family.

While she wasn’t there for the happy day, Jinger’s older brother, Josh Duggar, did attend, and brought along his four children. The eldest Duggar son has stayed out of the spotlight in recent months.
