Amy Adams gets emotional talking about Philip Seymour Hoffman

Amy Adams teared up talking about the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman during a recent visit to "Inside the Actors Studio" on Bravo. 

The show, which taped shortly after Hoffman's Feb. 2 death, aired Wednesday night. When host James Lipton asked the 39-year-old actress about Hoffman, she got emotional, saying, "Gosh, I wish you could all get a chance to work with him. He was beautiful, a beautiful spirit. And he has this unique ability to see people, really see them."

"And he will be missed," Adams said about her co-star in 2012's "The Master" and 2008's "Doubt." "Sorry, I really...I just really loved him and I know so many people did, and I just don't know how much more I can talk about it now. Sorry."

The sit-down with Lipton wasn't all emotional though. There were some funny moments, too. The best actress Oscar nominee took a turn at answering Lipton's series of quick questions: 

Favorite word? "Yes."

Least favorite word? "No."

Sound she loves the most? "My daughter laughing when she really, really laughs."

Least favorite sound? "Leaf blowers."

Turn on? "Kindness, honesty."

Turn off? "Manipulators."
