Accused killer escapes from Arkansas jail

CAMDEN, Ark. -- A suspect in the murder of an Arkansas grocery store manager during a December robbery was on the loose early Thursday after escaping from jail, reports CBS Little Rock affiliate KTHV-TV.

The Ouachita County Sheriff's Department was searching for Austin Hill, 19, who is considered dangerous.

Hill was behind bars on charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery in of Richard Anders, the manager of Mac's Grocery Store in Camden.

No details were offered on how Hill got out.

Authorities said he might be wearing an Ace bandage on his right hand. He was said to have removed his jumpsuit and was thought to be in his white boxer shorts.

The search has been concentrated around the jail, a local park Carnes Park and surrounding neighborhoods.

A $2,500 reward was being offered for any information leading to his capture.
