Aaron Paul signs on for new Hulu series

Aaron Paul is returning to TV in a new Hulu series, called "The Way."

Michelle Monaghan on "Fort Bliss," "True Detective"

The streaming service announced the news Thursday, noting on Twitter: We're tickled "Pinkman" because @aaronpaul_8 just signed on as the lead of #hulu Original "The Way."

The drama, which co-stars Michelle Monaghan of "True Detective" fame, centers around a "controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power." Paul will portray Eddie Cleary, the husband of Sarah (Monaghan), and also a father who has converted to the movement after experiencing a crisis of faith.

"Breaking Bad" star Paul, who will also serve as a producer on the series, took to Instagram Thursday to express his excitement about the casting:

According to the Los Angeles Times, the show is expected to premiere this coming winter.
