4 adults killed in Bastrop, Texas shooting identified

BASTROP, Texas -- Police have identified the four people killed in a weekend shooting at a Texas apartment complex.

Bastrop Police Det. Vicky Steffanic on Sunday said 21-year-old Erica Rodriguez, 20-year-olds Alejandro Martinez and Paula Nino, and one unidentified 3-year-old boy were killed in a Saturday shooting at the complex.

Steffanic did not identify the suspected gunman. She said Saturday that the gunman was among the deceased.

It wasn't immediately clear if the four were related, and no further details were immediately available.

A witness on scene described hearing her daughter yell about the shooting, seeing bullet holes coming through her walls and taking cover to call police, CBS affiliate KEYE reported.

The shooting took place at an apartment complex called "The Arbors of Bastrop." Officers received a call about the shooting at 6:13 p.m., a Sheriff's Office spokesperson said.

Bastrop is a town of about 7,500 people located 35 miles southeast of Austin.
