3 men charged with murder of teens in California firebombing
LOS ANGELES -Prosecutors announced Monday that three fugitives were arrested and charged in connection with a firebombing that left three dead in April, reports CBS Los Angeles.
Authorities have said that a Molotov cocktail was hurled into a South El Monte tire shop, where teens had gathered for a birthday celebration, according to the station. The incident killed an 18-year-old mother and two 17-year-old boys.
German Monrreal, 20, Estevan Castillo, 20, and Mario Godina, 19, were reportedly arrested in Mexico and returned to Los Angeles on Sunday. A fourth suspect, 19-year-old Roberto Fuentes, was arrested the day after the incident.
The party was for one of the victims, who was about to turn 18, according to CBS Los Angeles.
The three newly-arrested suspects are being held without bail and public defenders haven't been assigned.
The four men are charged with murder with special circumstances, but prosecutors haven't decided whether to seek the death penalty.
Authorities have yet to release a motive for the attack.
