SEAGROVE, N.C. -- Deputies arrested three suspects Wednesday and Thursday in the August death of an elderly man, reports CBS affiliate WRAL.

Dannie Deddie Smith, 27, Jesse Levon Martin, 31, and Debra Raegan Dorsett, 23, are all charged with murdering Elden Kitson Vanderwal, 71, who was found dead inside his burning home on Aug. 23.

Seagrove, N.C. firefighters discovered Vanderwal's body while responded to the 4:30 a.m blaze. An autopsy determined he was killed before the fire, but authorities have not said how he died.

All three suspects were held in the Moore County Detention Center without bond, and a first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 25.
