2 charged with murder after remains found in N.C. backyard

CLEMMONS, N.C. - Two people have been arrested and charged with murder after two bodies were found in the backyard of their North Carolina home, police say, according to CBS affiliate WFMY.

Pazuzu Algarad and Amber Burch were arrested Sunday and each charged with one count of murder and one count of accessory after the fact to murder.

The arrests were made after investigators executed a search warrant at their home in Clemmons, southeast of Winston-Salem. During the search of the property, investigators said they found the skeletal remains of two unidentified people buried in shallow graves in the backyard, reports the station.

The remains of both individuals were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for further examination and positive identification.

Both Algarad and Burch are being held without bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center.

Investigators wouldn't say what prompted them to search the home of Algarad, 35, and Burch, 24, reports the Winston-Salem Journal.
