14-year-old boy charged with murder in death of pregnant mom
LA MARQUE, Texas - A teenage boy has been charged with capital murder in connection with the death of his pregnant mother, reports the Houston Chronicle.
Police say Nita Moseley was strangled, then stabbed at least 20 times. Moseley's body was found in her home on Sept. 26, several days after she was killed, according to police.
According to the Chronicle, prosecutors decided to charge Moseley's 14-year-old son with capital murder because Moseley was pregnant at the time of her death.
If the teen is charged as a juvenile, he could face up to 40 years in prison. If he is charged as an adult, prosecutors can seek a life sentence.
