12-year-old suspect arrested in fatal Omaha shooting

MINNEAPOLIS -- A 12-year-old boy suspected in a fatal shooting in Omaha has been arrested in Minneapolis, reports CBS affiliate KMTV.

The boy was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service and will be booked ahead of court proceedings to return him to Nebraska, according to a police statement released Tuesday.

The boy is one of three suspects in the June 29 murder of 31-year-old Jamymell Ray near Miller Park. The two other suspects, the boy's 17-year-old brother and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested earlier this week. They appeared in court Tuesday afternoon.

Another man, Charles Fisher, was also injured in the shooting.

Police say Ray went to the park with Fisher on June 29, and planned to sell the boys marijuana. The boys allegedly arrived with guns and at least two are suspected of opening fire. Fisher was struck in the shoulder and is recovering. Ray died later at a nearby hospital.

Police found 2 types of shell casings at the scene. When the teens were arrested police seized two handguns.
