Working For The Easter Weekend: Entertainment Best Bets

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We are one day closer to Friday and that means we are one day closer to the weekend.

It's Easter weekend so a lot of you will be spending time with family and we found some fun, free activities for the whole family!

It's called the largest egg hunt in the Twin Cities. About 75,000 eggs are up for grabs at Passion Church in Maple Grove. It's free but pre-registration is required. While kids are enjoying the Egg Hunt, parents can check out an Easter Worship Experience during a number of Sunday service times.

Looking for an Easter worship service with a twist? The pastor at First Free Methodist Church in Minneapolis will be delivering the message from his potter's wheel.  And, if you attend the service you can sign up for free potter's wheel classes.

Get into museums for free this weekend! Bank of America cardholders can take advantage of the Museums on Us program, which gives each cardholder one free general admission to Mill City Museum, the Minnesota History Museum and the James J. Hill House. A photo ID and any valid Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented.

Still haven't smelled the roses at Macy's flower show? Saturday is the last day to do it! The eighth floor of the downtown location is a fantasy world, hosting gorgeous ferns, flowers and landscaping ranging from ancient to retro to modern. Local companies and restaurants will be on hand with samples and demonstrations.

There's nothing cuter than baby chicks, piglets, lambs, calves, goat kids and bunnies.  So why not go see some! All April you can enjoy the sights and sounds of farm babies at the Minnesota Zoo. The free event includes crafts and face painting.

Explore a range of activities and art-making on Free First Saturday  at the Walker Art Center! Spin tales, create poems and more in activities designed to get you and your family looking closely at art. Enjoy free gallery admission and family fun for all on the first Saturday of each month. This month enjoy a performance of The Ugly Duckling-My Life as a Fairytale at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m.
