Woodbury Man Drowns In Pond Near Faribault

FARIBAULT, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a Woodbury man has drowned in a pond near Faribault in southern Minnesota.

The Rice County sheriff's office says in a statement that it got a call about a missing swimmer around 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

Divers found 21-year-old Devin Nathaniel McCaulley in about 14 feet of water just before 6:30 p.m. Rescuers could not revive him and he was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m.

The Hennepin County medical examiner is conducting the autopsy.
