Police: Bodies Found In Woodbury Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Woodbury police say the bodies of two people were discovered in a home Friday.

Someone called police at about 2:45 p.m. to say they were concerned that there was no activity for several days in the home on the 8000 block of Spring View Alcove. They also said newspapers had been piling up outside since Tuesday.

Police broke a window to get into the home just after 4 p.m., and discovered an elderly couple inside, dead from a suspected murder-suicide.

The couple was in their 80s, and had been married for about 40 years. They had lived in the home for the past 15 years.

Police say the bodies were found in separate bedrooms. It is not clear which spouse killed the other.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the causes of death. The names of the deceased will likely be released Monday.
