Woman Pleads Guilty To Fatally Stabbing Boyfriend During Argument

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 23-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday in the stabbing death of her 21-year-old boyfriend.

Bianca Jackson of Richfield pleaded guilty to unintentional second-degree murder, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.

Jackson said she and Anthony Morgan were arguing when she stabbed him with a pocket knife. She meant to stab his shoulder, she said, but hit the base of his neck instead. The blade struck a major artery.

According to the criminal complaint, she was visiting Morgan at an apartment on the 2100 block of Third Avenue South around noon on June 10, 2015. Around 4 p.m., the complaint states, Morgan wanted to have sex and she wanted to sleep, so she stabbed him.

Morgan fled and encountered two men, who called an ambulance. He died a short time later at Hennepin County Medical Center.

The plea comes with a recommended sentence of 128 to 158 months in prison.
