Police: Woman Drove Drunk With Child In Car In Wayzata

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a 44-year-old woman was arrested Sunday morning in Wayzata for drunk driving with a child in the back seat of the car.

Police say the incident happened at about 9:33 a.m. on Gleason Lake Road east of Wayzata Boulevard. The woman hit another vehicle and was stopped by police. She was arrested for DWI.

Authorities say a 2-year-old child was in the car. A preliminary investigation indicates the woman is believed to be the mother of the child. The woman has not been identified, and there were no injuries in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
