Wolves Recall Adreian Payne After Week In D-League

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves have recalled power forward Adreian Payne from the NBA Development League.

The move was made Monday, after Payne averaged 26.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals in three games for the Erie BayHawks of the NBADL over the past week.

The 6-foot-10, 24-year-old Payne has played sparingly for the Wolves this season, averaging 2.7 points and 9.5 minutes over 30 games.

The Wolves have also previously sent point guard Tyus Jones on an NBADL assignment.

The Timberwolves play back-to-back nights in Los Angeles this week, against the Lakers on Tuesday and against the Clippers on Wednesday.
