1 Injured After Shots Fired At Party Bus In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An investigation is underway after a someone shot at a party bus early Wednesday morning in St. Paul, leaving one man injured.

The St. Paul Police Department says the shooting happened shortly after 2 a.m. near the intersection of Payne and Rose avenues, in the city's Payne-Phalen neighborhood. Investigators say a party bus was dropping someone off near Arlington Recreation Center when someone opened fire on the bus.

The bus driver fled the area, heading south on Payne Avenue. WCCO-TV cameras found the bus near Minnehaha Avenue, surrounded by police cars. On the bus was a man with a gunshot wound in the buttocks, police said. An ambulance brought the man to Regions Hospital for treatment.

Investigators found five shell casings at the scene of the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made.
