1 Of 2 Jackpot-Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In Green Bay, Wisconsin

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A winning Powerball jackpot ticket worth over $300 million was sold in Wisconsin.

According to the Wisconsin Lottery, the winning ticket was sold in Green Bay at Jackson Point Citgo. The lottery winner has not come forward yet.

When it comes to Powerball winnings, Wisconsin is a lucky state. This is at least the 19th winner for the state since 1992.

"What a fantastic way to start the new year," Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin said. "We're thrilled another jackpot has been won in WINsconsin. This is our fourth major jackpot won in the past four years."

It's not the only winning ticket, though. Winning numbers also showed up on a ticket purchased in California. A 7-Eleven in Sacramento sold the ticket.

The $632 million dollar jackpot is the seventh-biggest in Powerball history. The two winning tickets will split the earnings.

It's unclear if each ticket was purchased by one person or more than one.

The winning ticket holder has 180 days to come forward and claim the prize.
