Wis. Mother Accused Of Driving Drunk, Fleeing With 2 Kids

BARRON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a Rice Lake woman has been arrested on suspicion of her fourth drunken driving charge after leading Barron County sheriff's deputies on a chase with a baby and a 6-year-old in her car.

Sheriff's officials say a deputy tried to pull the woman over after she was clocked at 69 mph in a 45 mph zone Sunday night in Rice Lake. The woman failed to stop and deputies pursued for about 2½ miles before she pulled into a driveway.

Authorities say the baby, about 2 months, and the 6-year-old were turned over to their father.
