Wisconsin Man Critically Injured In Florida Dispute

SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a northern Wisconsin man is in critical condition after being shot in the head during a dispute over marijuana in Florida.

The Martin County (Florida) Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Patrick Nelson of Superior also has a broken neck and other broken bones.

Nelson allegedly stole about $1,000 worth of marijuana from a mobile home in Jensen Beach, Florida, last Tuesday night. The sheriff's office says two residents confronted Nelson at the condo where he was staying after they realized the marijuana was gone and shot Nelson in the head following a struggle.

Twenty-five-year-old Ryan Lounders and 27-year-old Donald Smith were arrested and charged with felony attempted murder and burglary with battery or assault while armed.

Court records don't list an attorney for the men.
