Wis. Child, 3, Run Over By Lawnmower

TOWN OF LOMIRA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a 3-year-old child suffered severe injuries after being run over by a riding lawnmower in Dodge County.

The sheriff's office say the child apparently ran toward to the lawnmower as the operator was backing it up Tuesday afternoon. The operator didn't know the child was there and struck the child.

The child was airlifted to a hospital. The child's condition is not known.

The accident happened in the Town of Lomira. Dodge County Sheriff Patricia Ninmann says the accident is not suspicious.
