Victim Struck In Winona Accidental Shooting Dies

WINONA, Minn. (AP) — Police say a man shot in the head at a residence in Winona has died.

Authorities say 20-year-old Riley Holden Sass-Loken suffered a single gunshot wound to the head Friday in an apparent accidental shooting. He died Monday evening at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Investigators say Sass-Loken was shot by another 20-year-old man and that alcohol was apparently involved. The man who shot Sass-Loken was initially arrested, but released after questioning.
