Wild To Begin Digital Ticketing For Season Tickets

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild say digital ticketing will replace paper tickets for season ticket holder starting in the upcoming season.

Wild chief operating officer Matt Majka says the time is right to make the move. Majka says fans have become accustomed to using online and mobile technology.

Season ticket holders will receive a smart card, the size of a credit card, that contains all of their account information. The card will be scanned when the fan enters Xcel Energy Center.

The team says digital ticketing includes fast, convenient online forwarding, with no forwarding fees. Fans can't grab the wrong game tickets by mistake, or hand over the wrong tickets to friends and family.

The Wild say digital ticketing also will help reduce printing and paper waste.
