Wild Look To Send Goalie Josh Harding To AHL

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild have taken goalie Josh Harding off injured reserve and placed him on waivers.

The Wild announced the move Monday.

If Harding is not claimed by another NHL team, he will be assigned to the Wild's American League Hockey affiliate in Iowa to get him back in game shape. Harding had been on a non-roster suspended list, since his broken right foot occurred off the ice Sept. 14, a few days before training camp began.

Harding has not played since Dec. 31, before illness related to his multiple sclerosis kept him out of action the rest of last season. With Darcy Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom the top two goalies, there's no room on the Wild roster for now.
