Wild Hosting Pep Rally, Viewing Party For Games In Dallas

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Wild announced Tuesday it will host a pep rally ahead of Game 1 in Dallas and hold a viewing party for Game 2 against the Stars in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Game 1 is set for 8:30 p.m. Thursday, and the Wild will host a lunch-time pep rally from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mears Park in downtown St. Paul. The event will include Mayor Chris Coleman, Wild Radio Host Kevin Falness and arena host Rusty Kath.

The first 250 fans in attendance will get a free hot dog or hamburger, chips and a beverage.

The Wild will host a viewing part on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center for Game 2. Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a playoff rally towel. Concessions will also be available.

Fans are encouraged to wear Wild colors at both events.
