Wild Announce Winners For 2015 Spirit Playoff Contest

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Wild announced Tuesday that two schools won the inaugural "Wild Playoff Spirit" Contest.

The winners were Westview Elementary School in Apple Valley and Minnewaska Area Elementary School in Glenwood. Officials with the Wild said 80 schools entered the contest, which ran from April 29 to May 1.

Officials said Minnewaska Area Elementary School will receive a Wild team-autographed State of Hockey flag, which will be displayed either at the school or in the community.

Westview Elementary School won a pep rally that will feature Wild mascot "Nordy" at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the school's gym. At that rally, all students will receive a Round 2 playoff rally towel.
