Wiggins Named Western Conference Rookie Of The Month

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The NBA announced Monday that Andrew Wiggins has been named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for December.

It's the first time a Timberwolves player has won the honor twice in the same season. Wiggins also got It in November.

Wiggins led all rookies in scoring in December with 14.6 points per game as well as minutes played at more than 33. He scored at least 20 points five times in December and led Minnesota in scoring in four games. Wiggins recorded his first career double-double on Dec. 10 against Portland, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Wiggins leads all rookies in scoring on the season at 13.8 points per game.
