Where Do Minnesota's Teen Drivers Rank In Safety?

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A new report shows Minnesota is in the middle of the road when it comes to how good our teen drivers are.

WalletHub used death statistics as well as safety and financial data to make the list.

Minnesota and Wisconsin were actually neck and neck in slots 27 and 28 on the list, respectively. Iowa ranked 38th and North Dakota ranked 40th.

Among the states with the worst teen drivers are our neighbors to the west: South Dakota. The rest of that bottom five include Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wyoming.

The top five best states were New York, Hawaii, Illinois, Oregon and Rhode Island.
