Suspect Sought in Wheaton Golf Course Vandalism

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials from Traverse County are seeking the public's help in locating the person(s) responsible for vandalizing a local golf course last Friday.

According to the Traverse County Sheriff's Office, around 7:30 a.m. Saturday officers received a report that 1st Hole at Wheaton Golf Course was vandalized by a motor vehicle.

The damage was quite extensive around the green.

The course has created a make-shift 1st Hole in order to stay open.

Officers believe the damage was from a pickup-style vehicle.

The Wheaton Golf Course is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest for those involved.
