Westbound I-94 Ramp To 12th Street Closure Rescheduled For Monday Evening

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Motorists driving in St. Paul early Monday evening should expect delays when the westbound Interstate 94 ramp to 12th street closes at 6 p.m.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the two right lanes of westbound I-94 will close between Highway 52 and I-35W from 6 p.m. to midnight Monday while crews set up the ramp closure, which was rescheduled due to wet pavement in the area Sunday night.

The ramp will be closed for four weeks so that crews can construct a new bridge pier for the southbound I-35E to eastbound I-94 ramp, which will be widened later this year, MnDOT says.

A detour will direct motorists to northbound I-35E, eastbound Cayuga Street, westbound Phalen Boulevard, southbound Olive Street and westbound University Avenue to access 12th Street.
