Weather Service: 2 Confirmed Tornadoes In Tuesday Storms
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The National Weather Service has confirmed there were at least two tornado touchdowns in southeastern Minnesota during Tuesday night's severe weather.
Officials say there was a confirmed EF0 tornado with winds between 70 and 80 miles per hour that touched down about seven miles east of Dennison, which is near Northfield, at about 7:54 p.m.

About a half hour later, there was an EF1 tornado about five miles southwest of Lake City, which is near Rochester. The touchdown happened at about 8:28 p.m. That was confirmed by the National Weather Service office in La Crosse, Wis.
It was part of the same system that caused widespread damage in the Rogers and Hanover area as well as communities in Wright County. High winds snapped trees and brought down power lines, and crews have been working around the clock since to restore power to affected customers.
And we're not out of the woods yet. More strong storms are expected late Wednesday and into Thursday morning, and some could be severe. We could get more storms Thursday night.
