WCCO Saturday Morning Links (Aug. 15)

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Twin Cities is jam packed with fun this weekend, and we got the skinny on all the events!

This weekend you will find more than just horse racing at Canterbury Park. They are hosting the Motorsports Show and Swap Meet, where more than 100 vendors will be on site. It is free to attend with live racing admission, which costs $6. It runs Saturday from noon to 10 p.m., then again Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In the mood for a truly electric show? Head to the Cowles Center in Minneapolis for the Groundbreaker Battle. This hugely-popular day-long event is a family-friendly immersion into hip-hop, featuring beat boxing and dancing. The battle is Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., and it is free to attend.

Do you think you can outwit, outplay and outlast others on a deserted island? Saturday is your chance to make your case and try out for "Survivor." Head to Mall of America and explain why you should be on the cast of the upcoming season. The casting call is Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. You have to be over 18-years-old.

Looking to cool off from the heat and humidity? WCCO's Natalie Nyhus went in search for the Best Outdoor Water Park in Minnesota, and our viewers picked Cascade Bay in Eagan!

Beer lovers should head to the seventh-annual Summer Beer Dabbler at St. Paul's CHS Field in Lowertown. It features more than 100 craft breweries, lots of live music and fun activities!

And in this edition of DeRusha Eats, he heads to the Chipotle of pizza – run by one of the Minnesota Vikings!
