Transformer Explosion Leaves 2,500 In Watertown Without Power

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A transformer exploded in Watertown, Minn. Monday night causing widespread power outages, according to the Watertown fire chief.

Xcel Energy said the explosion left about 2,500 houses without power. Power was restored as of 11 p.m., Xcel Energy said.

No one was hurt in the explosion.
