Sheriff: Body Recovered From River Near DT Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hennepin County Water Patrol responded to a report of a body floating in the Mississippi River near the Stone Arch Bridge in downtown Minneapolis Friday afternoon.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the call near the Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam at about 1 p.m. There, they recovered a body of a man in his early 20s. He's described as between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall with brown hair.

This comes just two days after the water patrol recovered the body of 20-year-old David Miller, a University of Minnesota student who had been missing since last Tuesday.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the identity and the cause of death when results are ready.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident as a homicide.
