Wander Minnesota: Sculptures @ MN Landscape Arboretum

There's a new addition to the varied scenery at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum: the Harrison Sculpture Collection at the Arboretum's highest physical point, with sculptures donated by Wayzata philanthropists Alfred and Ingrid Harrison, sculptures they'd collected from all over the world.

The sculpture garden is easily reached via the Three Mile Drive, and there is an adjacent parking lot. It's a stop for the trams that run, and there is a walking trail that winds through it.

The donation of 22 sculptures nearly doubled the Arboretum's sculpture collection, and this set of sculptures includes a wide range of viewpoints, from classic to contemporary.

Materials vary too, as do colors—just like in nature.

Others seem to mimic the shapes found in nature:

The Harrison Sculpture Collection is a beautiful addition to what's already one of the metro area's scenic gems. Kudos to the Arboretum, and to the Harrisons, for making this possible.
