Woman Found Dead In Wadena, Man In Custody After Leading Police On Chase

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man is arrested and a woman is dead after an incident that included a police chase in Wadena Monday afternoon.

Police say it started when they received a report of a report of a man with a gun on the 300 block of Bryant Avenue Southwest. When officers arrived, a man in a car fled, heading west on State Highway 29.

Officers pursued the car until just after the intersection of Otter Tail County Road 75, when the man crashed into another car. Police took the man into custody.

Back at the home where the chase began, police found a deceased woman inside.

The Wadena County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota Bureau for Criminal Apprehension, Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office and Wadena Police Dpeartment are investigating.
