Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph Hopeful To Play Vs. Bears

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Adrian Peterson isn't the only big piece of the Minnesota Vikings offense that has been missing for most of the season.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph has missed the last seven games after having surgery to repair a sports hernia in September. After two months of rehabilitation, Rudolph appears close to returning to the field.

Rudolph has been back at practice this week as the Vikings prepare for a game at Chicago on Sunday. Coach Mike Zimmer so far has not committed to Rudolph playing against the Bears, but the tight end says he's doing everything he can this week to be ready for the game.

Rudolph says he's tired of watching his teammates play without him and hopes to help the Vikings get a rare win in Chicago.
