Vikings Take 6 Picks Into Final Day Of NFL Draft

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings take six picks into the final day of the NFL draft, with needs at receiver and on the offensive line.

The Vikings have one selection each in the fourth and sixth rounds and two picks each in the fifth and seventh rounds Saturday.

General manager Rick Spielman traded down twice in the third round on Friday to pick up the sixth-rounder from Kansas City and an extra fifth-round pick from Detroit. They have chosen Michigan State cornerback Trae Waynes in the first round, UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks in the second round and LSU defensive end Danielle Hunter in the third round.

After using their first three picks on defense, Spielman says the Vikings will look on the other side of the ball on the final day.
