Vikings Sign Tight End, Spring Lake Park Native Brian Leonhardt

Leonhardt played football at Bemidji State University and spent part of the 2015 season with the San Francisco 49ers. His position coach there was current Vikings offensive line coach Tony Sparano.

He has also spent time with the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns and has six career catches for 35 yards and one touchdown. He signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent after the 2013 NFL Draft.

With his addition, the Vikings now have six players from Minnesota on the roster. They include offensive tackle Carter Bykowski, wide receivers Isaac Fruechte, Terrell Sinkfield and Adam Thielen as well as cornerback Marcus Sherels.
