Vikings Sign C John Sullivan To 1-Year Extension

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday they signed center John Sullivan to a 1-year contract extension.

Sullivan started all 16 games last year at center on the offensive line and had to help protect rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. He was drafted by the Vikings in sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft and has started 93 of 109 games. That includes every game the last three seasons.

Sullivan was named an All-Pro after the 2012 season, when Adrian Peterson ran for 2.097 yards. Sullivan was also named the 2013 Vikings Man of the Year for his efforts in community service.

He's entering his eighth season with Minnesota.
