Vikings' Robison Has Had A Pain In The Butt

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Brian Robison has had quite the pain in the butt.

The Minnesota Vikings defensive end landed on the injury report this week with a rarely listed body part: glute. That's short for the gluteal muscles that form the buttocks. Robison was inadvertently kneed there by an opposing player last Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Robison was declared probable for the game this weekend against Washington, defined by the NFL as a virtual certainly he'll play. But he was held out of practice Wednesday, limited Thursday and in plenty of discomfort when sitting down. He said Friday that team meetings have been the worst part of the week.

The healing has been ugly, in the form of a huge, purple bruise growing down his right leg.
